September’s wallpaper was taken in Wat Sissaket (Sissaket Temple), one of the oldest temples in Vientiane, on the team’s visit to Laos earlier this year, where we trained 40 fantastic Church Planters. The image is of one of the many Buddha statues that line the alcoves of the temple courtyard. Laos is primarily a Buddhist nation, with 67% of the Lao population identifying themselves as Buddhist. In practice, Lao Buddhism consists of a mix of Buddhist and Animist beliefs and ceremonies. As such, there is tremendous potential to share the message of Jesus with the wonderful people of Laos.
